Amalia Infante Ong

She passed away peacefully in the grace of our Lord today, January 9, 2008, at the age of 87 years old. Her remains lie at the Holy Trinity Parish and interment will be on January 12, 2008.

Around 8:05pm, I received a call from my tita that she just had her last breath. The last time I saw her was last Sunday, after the baptism of my cousin Con-con. She was really weak but she still greeted me with a smile. She looked happy to see her youngest grandchild (Con-con) too. Before we left, I held her hand and said goodbye. She was resting that time so she just nodded.

And for the past few hours, I've been trying to do other things. Just to keep myself from thinking too much. To keep myself from crying.

It hurts.
