Coffee = hyperness!

Last April 25, I went to the Grad Ball. We were terribly late and I was so thirsty and hungry when I got there. Service was slow... and they mixed up orders and everything. Geez... the place wasn't that nice either. It was terribly hot outdoors and the stench of the Manila Bay was overpowering my senses.

The only thing I really liked was the part when we took pictures because I took pics until my camera was full. Fufufufu~! XD

We went to Starbucks after the event. My first time (I'm not a coffee drinker) and I bought ice-cold White Chocolate Mocha Espresso. I felt soooo talkative after drinking half of it. I love the white chocolate at the bottom... yum yum! Then all hyperness came over me... XD Yeah, me and coffee don't mix that well... we're volatile. Lol.

Ivy and Phin slept in my room that night. It was fun to have them around, I suddenly wished that I didn't have classes that morning so I could spend more time with them. Anyway it was another 'no sleep' day because I finished up my reports after I washed my hair and took all the make-up off.

Wow... the month is almost over. I feel like I haven't accomplished as much as I wanted to. I must try harder.

Pictures from the event are here.

Summer trouble...

I thought taking Chem 31 and Chem 31.1 would be a piece of cake, considering you'd be able to finish both subjects in a matter of five weeks.

Oh but I was wrong... I was SO WRONG.

I'm only on my first week and I'm exhausted. My sleeping time has greatly reduced from 5-7 hours during regular semesters to 0-2 hours. I have pre-laboratory and post laboratory reports everyday. Not to mention the daily readings and memorization of formulas, nomenclatures, definitions, etc.

I AM SO DEAD.

Plus the fact that I tried looking for the book everywhere this past week. Going to Mind Movers (which is in Katipunan, referred by my classmate Brenda because I couldn't find the book in National Bookstores all over Metro Manila) at 5:15pm and only disappointing myself by learning that they close at 5pm. -_-; And getting the book from the library and photocopying it from 5pm to 8pm (yeesh.. I was so hungry after this... hungry and tired. And there was no food cart or any food sold in sight. T_T).

Around 8pm yesterday, I was lying in bed and texting a few people after a good dinner. I fell asleep... ACK!! I wasn't able to watch JITP or Encantadia. And I've been looking forward for those shows all day. *sniff*

I woke up around 1:30am when my brother came home. Now I'm already typing away my Schematic Diagrams for next week's experiments. I'm still sleepy but I was supposed to do this a few hours ago.. I'm behind my schedule.

I still have three post laboratory experiments, five chapters to read, a lot of practice exercises to do and review for the quizzes on Monday. Plus the fact that I'm going shopping with my mom today.

But you know what keeps me going? Phillipians 4:13, whenever I remember that verse a surge of energy just jolts through my body. And I guess the accidental naps in class were helpful. ^^;

At this moment, I can't comprehend the things discussed in the past two days. I feel like I can't keep up with my teacher or my classmates. This is bad... really bad. *frustrated*

Must keep up. Must try harder.

Happy Easter!

I just got home from the Salubong and Easter Sunday Mass. Eventhough my feet really hurt from standing (last night we were also standing in the prayer vigil T_T) and I haven't slept at all, I'm really happy because I was able to sacrifice a lot. :)

Starting tomorrow, I can finally play Sims! Yes! My penance is over... ^___^ But I don't think I'd be able to play because tomorrow is also the start of summer classes. Huff... ;_;

I'm sooooo sleepy. =_=

Time to go to bed! ;)

No aircon needed! XD

I've been away from home for 2 days and one night. I went to Tagaytay with ERGmates last Friday. It was a welcome break, after struggling for a year in the wastelands of Eng'g (lol.. how much Warcraft-y can you get?). We got to the resthouse around lunch time and we quickly looked for a room (we got the room on the first floor beside the rooms for the guys, all the other girls were on the next level ^^;).

The first day was tiring. x_X When we got there, we started making lunch... whee... I got teary-eyed because I chopped onions. ^^; Then we rested for a bit before trekking.

Whoever said that trekking to the crater of Taal Volcano would only take 5 minutes should be strangled. >_< It took us more than an hour in the hot sun (though the wind was cold) to get to the top. We were exhausted, covered in dirt and extremely thirsty when we got there. We left our bags, wallets, cellphones, etc. behind because they said we wouldn't need it. Huff! Although view was worth the trip. ^_~ When we got back many wanted to go to the rest house, so we weren't able to go swimming since the vehicles we rented must go together (in case of an emergency). I was a bit disappointed but they said we may be able to swim the next day. So I went with the flow...

When we got home, I got dibs to be the first one to take a bath. Yay! I was itching to get all of the dirt off of me. ^^ Well, the water went from clear to chocolate brown when I took a bath. Yeah.. it's that terrible. Bleh... I made sure I was super clean after the bath. It felt so good! ^___^ Anyway, I watched the usual telebabad stuff when I finished. :) Then we had dinner - milkfish, tomatoes, eggplant, etc. - I got the bangus belly! Lol! But I only took half of it, I know someone who likes that part too. :D

After dinner and the telebabad, I saw Nas sleeping comfortably at the side of the bed while Ivy, Tin, and Mark were playing with the jumbo cards. I joined them after brushing my teeth and we played professional tong-its. With Nas eating the whole hotdog sandwich while she was half-asleep. :P When we got tired of that, Ivy asked me to play Twister with the others. Well, I think I said yes but I fell asleep beside Nas. ^^;

I woke up around 3am because the cold wind was gushing straight to my aching feet. It felt like my joints were freezing. Gehh... so I closed the door. EJ was beside at that time and Ivy was beside him. Then I got my towel and placed it over my legs (I was wearing pajamas but my feet were as cold as ice... ^^;). I went back to bed. Then I woke up around 4am in the morning because the door was open again, I think this was the time EJ got up. ^^; I closed it and then I noticed the blanket that Nas was sleeping on. It was the blanket for the whole bed! Ack! I took it and placed it over Ivy, Nas and me. :) We finally have a blanket. :D Then I woke up around 6am because Geof lied down beside Ivy. This time I couldn't sleep anymore so I just got up and ate some bread. A couple of INT were up because they were preparing the breakfast. Oh.. and I woke up Tin who was sleeping on a chair (eventhough I know how annoyed she gets when someone wakes her up ^^;). I got worried that she might get a stiff neck in her position so I told her to go to the room and sleep on my spot. ^^

It's cold in Tagaytay in the morning. It felt like the whole house had centralized air-conditioning. XD I already was wearing a shirt, jacket, pajama and socks but when I went outside, I was still cold! Brr!

Around 9am, when Geof got up, I went in his place and fell asleep. I got up around 10am when it was time to fix things, eat lunch and get ready to go to Picnic Grove. (Yeah.. the swimming part didn't push through but this time I was totally fine with it because I was expecting I'd be able to swim in Eugene's condo.) Anyway, after lunch we gathered our stuff and then went to Picnic Grove. That place really has a good view of the volcano. We even saw the path we took when we went to the top. ^^; There were games but I mostly had fun taking pictures of the breathtaking view. ^_~

Then it was time to leave. We were heading to Eugene's birthday bash. On the way, I learned that we wouldn't be able to use the pool. To say that I was disappointed is an understatement. I was really looking forward to swimming. Plus the fact that I wasn't able to use my new suit after scouring the store to look for that. T_T

Oh well... things happen. We had fun singing with their magic sing. I think my sadness was reflected in my scores, they were too low. ^^; I took a cab and dropped Ivy off at her place. I was super tired but super happy when I got home. :)

I <3 outings!

Good-bye...

There's no easy way to say this, but I have to let you guys know that I'm transferring to another school starting this April. My brother talked to the Dean of Engineering in Mapua last December. At first I thought, "I'd never get in..." but after a few weeks they called me up and asked for a few requirements. I also gave a 2-page letter explaining my current state. Late in January, they gave me an exam to test my Engineering skills. Afterwards, they only said that they'll review my case and they'll call me up for any developments.

So I thought, they'd never call me up and they probably said that to boost my morale.

But I was wrong...

They called me up a few weeks ago, then the Dean asked me to go to his office to report. So I went, and then he told me that I had exceptional grades in Math and other subjects and he was willing to accept me in Mapua. I was surprised! I mean, enroll in Mapua? Now? I still have finals! >_<

Anyway, he gave me three options if I enrolled there:
(1) It will only take me one year to finish my ECE course. (Since they have quarter-mesters and their regular load is 25 units/term)
(2) I can also finish my MatE course in a year.
(3) I can have a double major in ECE and MatE in one and a half year, provided that all my quarter-mesters are overloaded.

I told them I'd think about it. So I talked to my parents and they said that this is an opportunity I should take. Comparing the time I'm going to spend in UP and the time in Mapua... well, it's a whole lot shorter. I asked the Dean if I have to decide right now about the degree I'm going to pursue (because that double degree is very tempting) but he told me I can think about it when I'm there.

I'm enrolling in Mapua this April. After I've taken all my classcards, I don't think I'll be able to go to UP. :(

See yah! :)
