Good-bye...

There's no easy way to say this, but I have to let you guys know that I'm transferring to another school starting this April. My brother talked to the Dean of Engineering in Mapua last December. At first I thought, "I'd never get in..." but after a few weeks they called me up and asked for a few requirements. I also gave a 2-page letter explaining my current state. Late in January, they gave me an exam to test my Engineering skills. Afterwards, they only said that they'll review my case and they'll call me up for any developments.

So I thought, they'd never call me up and they probably said that to boost my morale.

But I was wrong...

They called me up a few weeks ago, then the Dean asked me to go to his office to report. So I went, and then he told me that I had exceptional grades in Math and other subjects and he was willing to accept me in Mapua. I was surprised! I mean, enroll in Mapua? Now? I still have finals! >_<

Anyway, he gave me three options if I enrolled there:
(1) It will only take me one year to finish my ECE course. (Since they have quarter-mesters and their regular load is 25 units/term)
(2) I can also finish my MatE course in a year.
(3) I can have a double major in ECE and MatE in one and a half year, provided that all my quarter-mesters are overloaded.

I told them I'd think about it. So I talked to my parents and they said that this is an opportunity I should take. Comparing the time I'm going to spend in UP and the time in Mapua... well, it's a whole lot shorter. I asked the Dean if I have to decide right now about the degree I'm going to pursue (because that double degree is very tempting) but he told me I can think about it when I'm there.

I'm enrolling in Mapua this April. After I've taken all my classcards, I don't think I'll be able to go to UP. :(

See yah! :)
