Tips.
If you want to be the best in this business, stick with the master and not the student.
I learned that the hard way. Since I'm a newbie I didn't know who to go with at first. I kept listening to one person thinking that she knows a lot. Turns out she was the student. =_=
Although she is friendly, I don't like her work ethics. She doesn't submit her work on-time and advises me to do the same (and I hate submitting work after the deadline). She doesn't have the proper timing when asking questions. There's so much work to do but she's just there and playing Plants vs Zombies. She keeps on babysitting me when I really don't need that, I just want her to tell me what to do and help me along the way when I'm having a hard time figuring it out. And she goes home even if there is a lot to do. Even a newbie like me has to stay after work just to finish it but she doesn't.
It is infuriating. >_<
Thankfully I know better now.
I'm sticking with the REAL master.
But the master is leaving soon. I only had a few days with her this week. Its not enough because there's so much to learn. Best advice she could give me? Practice and READ A LOT. She studied on her own, so she advises me to do the same.
I'm scared and excited at the same time. Scared because they have high expectations for me. Excited because its such a challenge to meet those expectations.
I'm going to miss my guru. She's inspirational.
I want to surpass my guru, to be the best in this business.
So please pray for my success. :)

OTL
I experienced my first OTY in this new job. They did warn me that its not paid and I could go home but I really wanted to learn how they did the implementation so I stayed.
I wasn't tired from learning last night, but I was really tired because of the trip home. There was no MRT so I had to take a bus ride from Makati to QC.
Something happened on the trip home, the girl in front of me was almost tricked by snatchers! They looked drunk and were waiting for the girl to stand up (they wanted the girl to stand up) but the driver got irritated (because he was right in front of the girl) so the driver stopped the bus in the middle of EDSA. @_@
With all that commotion, the snatchers quickly went out of the bus and thankfully there was nothing stolen. Still, it was scary because it happened right in front of me. T_T
After that I got so paranoid. I clutched my bag tighter and walked faster when I got off the bus. Actually I walked so fast that you could consider it running. ^^;
Thank God I arrived safely. ^_^
