Just a little background. My niece and I go way back. We've been friends since we were babies, she's a year older so we get along just fine. On her first year college she lived with us because it's easier to go to her school from our place than her home. :) Then three years ago she went to Japan, our communication consisted of emails and phone calls every now and then. She told me she'll come back this year but I didn't know when. ^^
She brought her baby but her husband stayed in Japan. We talked and talked until lunch came, I missed her so much! Her baby was so cute, by the way I'm his god-mother. Here's a picture:
After lunch we continued our conversation, but we got a little sleepy so while watching tv we fell asleep. After a few minutes, I felt uncomfortable sleeping in the small chair so I got up and asked Grace if she wanted to sleep in a bed. (My brother isn't home she could sleep there.) She replied with a groan and I just went to my room and continued sleeping. I woke up a few hours later when she came into my room and looked around. She saw my cellphone and played with it. She noticed I haven't changed my phone, not even my number. I just shrugged and said I don't want to change it because I can still use it. I don't want to change phones every now and then just because there's a new trend. Trends fade... besides, it's not like I'm going to use all the features. I'm not yet working, maybe when I'm working and I need more features will I change my phone. But that doesn't mean I don't rave about the newest phones, because I do! I like checking them out and thinking what else the future holds. :)
At 3pm they decided to leave, I asked her to stay for the night but she refused because they had church tomorrow. She promised me she'll come back in December when she'll be giving birth to her next baby. (Yeah well.. she's 3 months pregnant right now. ^^;) Here's our picture yesterday... she's so skinny! It's unbelievable that she's going to have a baby.
Her flight back to Japan is on thursday, August 26. It's the same date as my brother's graduation. *sighs* I want to be the one to send her off to the airport but I already promised my brother I'm going to his graduation. *heavy sigh* If only I can be at two places at once...
